Dear Friends of the Ollie G ball
Thank you for your support of this year’s Ollie G Ball. The night was an amazing success and with nearly 600 guests attending the event, 100 strong crew, 20 miles of cable, 200 lights, 4696 pieces of cutlery, 3750 pieces of crockery, 5120 glasses, 725 lbs of food and over 2000 sq metres of marquee !
I hope that everyone that attended the event had a great evening, there are some great stories from the event but most can not be repeated ! |
As you might know we had a slight hiccup with the silent auction, which was due
to a power trip in the toilet area. This unfortunately left you without knowing how many great items you had bought! We have now collected all bid sheets and from the silent auction page you can see all the highest bidders. Thank you for your generous bids, this was such an amazing amount raised.

The main auction driven by Nick Bonham was a huge success, and since the event we have raised a further £10,000 for the ‘Day as Chairman of Chelsea’ lot.

Also on the night we were looking for additional fundraising, to try and raise at least £25,000.00 towards a nurse’s annual salary who will work with MPS children at the end of their lives. Due to the amazing support from everyone on the night, the great news is that we actually raised an additional £18,000.00, and can confirm that a nurse will be recruited to fill this vital role for MPS children – all thanks to your amazing support, and if you would like to add to this please send in your cheque to "The Ollie G Ball".
On the night we announced that we had raised £164,000, but the amazing news is that with the Silent Auction figure now confirmed and donations since the event, we have now raised in excess of £200,000. The final figure will be announced on this website once the final wash up has been completed.

This website has been updated with the photos of the evening. Final figures raised and details of how the funds will be spent will be added shortly so please check the site every now and then.
One last request for those here on the night, we are still missing a handbag and a folding walking stick. Can you please have a look inside your goodie bag and if by any chance these items are there, can you please call the office on 01428 682887
and we can arrange for them to be picked up.
Thank you for your support of this event, and for helping raise an amazing amount of money for a very small charity. Together, our efforts will really make a different to the lives of the children with MPS.
